NCBO 0100  Math Success Course

An inescapable engagement model that utilizes a strength-based approach in supporting TSI-not-met students enrolled in select math courses. The program will create a unique experience with inescapable engagement and experiences via a non-course-based option (NCBO). Students will be assigned an advisor and an academic coach and will network with campus leadership. Weekly attendance is required.
Restrictions: Graduate level students may not enroll.
NCBO 0301  Algebra Support course for students intending to enroll in MATH1314 or MATH1324

The course supports students in developing skills, strategies, and reasoning needed to succeed in algebraic mathematics. Topics include numeracy and the real number system; algebraic concepts, notation, and reasoning; quantitative relationships; mathematical models; and problem solving. The course will support skill development in relations and functions, inequalities, algebraic expressions and equations, with a special emphasis on linear and quadratic expressions and equations.
