FINC 5360 Corporate Valuation and Strategy

This course provides students with the advanced knowledge and skills needed to value companies and make strategic decisions in the real world. Students will learn how to apply a variety of valuation techniques to different types of companies and industries, including public companies, private companies, companies in distressed situations, and project analysis. Students will also learn how to use valuation to inform strategic decisions, such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate spin-offs, SEOs, and initial public offerings.

Financial Econometrics, The objective of this course is to provide a comprehensive and systematic account of financial econometric models and their applications to modeling and prediction of financial time series data. The emphasis is on applied time series modeling and forecasting. Students at the end of the course will have a working knowledge of financial time series data and gain expertise in the software to conduct the analyses.
