Department of History, Philosophy, and Geography
MISSION
The Department of History, Philosophy, and Geography provides a framework for developing critical thinking among our students that allows them to comprehend and evaluate historical and contemporary events in a variety of contexts including their ethical, social, cultural, and political implications. Furthermore, we emphasize and develop written and verbal communication strategies that allow our students to effectively engage in this discourse. The Department challenges its students to a life-long commitment to develop their intellectual potential and to set and uphold standards of excellence.
