Department of Life Sciences
Mission
The Department of Life Sciences at Texas A&M University-San Antonio strives to provide a rich educational experience for students through face-to-face instruction, on-line learning, and hybrid courses with small class sizes and state-of-the-art technology. In the graduate program, we emphasize an apprentice/mentor relationship between the graduate student and their major advisor as they explore the unknown with the goal of adding to what is known in the life sciences through scholarship. We also strive to provide our students with leadership skills and values to prepare them for the work-place, for further advanced study, and for an ever-changing world.
